John Phelim O'Reilly with a monster from the Rocommon bank in the summer of 2015.

The Perch were very active in 2014 and some good fish reported. Robert Cilindz had six, all of which were close, or over specimen weight.

I consider the spring of 2012 to be one of the poorest I've known for predators, but this all changed in June with a number of giant Perch to 3lb 8oz. As autumn aproaches, I've just received these two photos of superb Pike caught on the Ballyleague side of the river. Both were caught on lures.

Aiden Dooney with a 25lb 2oz Pike caught on Thursday 18th October 2012

Damian Rooney  with a 26lb 5oz Pike caught on Tuesday 23rd October 2012

Michael Galvin with a 23lb 8oz Specimen above and a 20lb+ below

This giant Perch was caught by Graeme Coughlan on Tuesday 12th June 2012. Although unweighed, I suspect it may have topped 3lbs?

2012 was a great year for Perch. This was caught in the last week of June by Graeme Gannon and weighed in at 3lb 8oz. Could there be bigger ones?

I can catch 'em as well!  My P.B - April 1st 2011 weighing in at 20lb 11.5oz

Shane Mchugh and a large fish caught just beyond the "cut" Nice to see this angler sporting a life jacket. Photos of anyone on boats not wearing one will not be published!

A Perch of 2lb 12oz caught near the bridge in 2002. At the time, the specimen weight was 3lb but this has since been lowered.
